Creative Developers
Do you speak standards-based HTML fluently? Have you walked down a path in the Zen Garden? Do you dig into the guts of javascript libraries to see how they achieve their AJAXy goodness? Can you hold a conversation with the guy who is hooking your templates to the database?
If so, then we may have a position for you building the front-end of our web applications. If you want extra credit, then you'll have Flash experience or a background in graphic or interactive design.
Flash Developers
You know how to make Flash work and we're not talking keyframes. We're thinking displacement map filters, integration with data sources and lots of beautiful class files. A programmer at heart, your OO architecture and reusable AS3 components should make the technical developers on your team proud. At the same time, your skills in interactive design should bring tears of joy to your usability colleagues. Familiarity with Flex, CSS and JavaScript is important, and a working knowledge of HTML or a background in design is a huge plus.
Technical Developers
At Agile, we believe in (good guess!) an agile development approach. As such, we value developers that have experience launching software with test driven development in iterative cycles. Our projects are full life cycle, so experience in all aspects of the software development process, including requirements gathering, design, planning, testing, implementation, documentation (yeah, bite the bullet) and launch is expected. We also pride ourselves on producing elegant solutions, so a solid background in software engineering fundamentals such as OO architecture and database design is a must.
Most importantly, we feel that software development is largely about problem solving. You will enjoy working with us if you take pride in your ability to tackle complex problems in a rational manner, all the while striving to create elegant solutions.
Technology Specifics
We believe that any great hacker will be able to determine the right tools for the job, learn them if necessary and execute successfully. Therefore, we don't believe in filtering candidates based on previous technology experience; viable candidates will have mastered any technology they previously encountered.
